I've always used Kotex Brand. Your l Opening is beneath the small opening where you pee out of. You won't be able to stick the tampon in the wrong hole, the other is too small. Tampons might be cheaper; but it depends on the brand. You don't have to wear a pad every day, only on your period or maybe a few days before you think you're about to start bleeding, just in case. Honestly, I can't tell you how big your hole is because I don't know you. But since it's your first time with a tampon, it might take a few times to get it in comfortably, and it might hurt a little bit. Just make sure you change your tampons, and don't sleep with one in. Leaving it in for more than 8 hours can be dangerous. I reccomend that you sleep in a pad, and use a tampon during the day. Hope I helped!
