Why is the recognition of the Armenian Genocide so important for regional parliaments and other lawmakers?

Rejoice in the fact that people are looking at the genocide committed against the Armenians by the Turks, which is in danger of being forgotten, and which is largely unknown to millions of people, and which has yet to be acknowledged by Turkey. Most of the Turkish population is unaware of what happened during those years, and most of those who are aware, firmly believe that the whole thing has been grossly exaggerated. Yes, ALL crimes of genocide should be highlighted and acknowledged, but for any government to pursue them all , all of the time, is perhaps asking too much. Each will be highlighted in time.
