My scar hurts... is Voldemort near?

but seriously, I got a very deep scoop of skin sliced out of my finger about 2 months ago (I'm actually surprised it could go that deep without showing any bone), and now whenever there's pressure on the scar, it hurts. Not badly, but more than it should. What's the cause of this?
