If push comes to shove, I DO believe in freewill, but only because it SEEMS to be real. Is that good enough?

If there is no free will there is no ethics. Experience IS a good indicator of validity in a given proposition. I used to be a determinist but never got past how a causal universe necessitates determinism. I just thought cause and effect and directly connected and stopped there. I came to a point where free will seemed so obviously real and helped explain human behavior and ethics that I figured that Occam's Razor takes care of the rest. The debate is far from over.
