Is it true in Russia and FSU countries that women...?

...That the women in those countries who are young and single either try to scam foreign men there to marry them, or scam them on the internet, or become prostitutes either in their countries or in USA or Pakistan? All because they lead horrible or destitute lives for one reason or another. All this is hearsay. I read articles and seen doentaries and stories about such thing. Can I have your opinion please??? Oh btw, the reason I am asking this is because I plan to marry a girl from Ukraine. Haven't exactly picked one yet and NO I haven't sent her money and I am not going to. Just want to be careful.
